Breakfast aside, we promptly donned our warmest clothes and headed out to the golf course. It was quite a sight.
Pioneer Woman, you simply must check her out. Her recipes are all delish! And these sandwiches did not disappoint.
Cowboy Dip Sandwiches
- Thick slices of bread
- Pepper jack cheese, sliced
- Braised Beef Brisket
- Marinated mushrooms (can't seem to find this one online anymore...email me if you want it)
To assemble sandwiches, lay bread slices on baking pan and top half of them with sliced cheese. Toast in oven at 400 for 5 minutes, add shredded brisket and mushrooms to cheese covered bread. Top with another piece of toast. Enjoy!
Meanwhile, the boys came home and warmed up with a cup of hot chocolate topped with marshmallows and whipped cream before settling in to cut, color and glue, dump out every piece to every puzzle and play the wii for hours on end.
- 1/2 gallon of snow (we put our bowl out the night before to collect)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Add sugar to snow and stir. Mix together milk and vanilla in a separate bowl. Pour milk mixture over snow mixture and stir. Top to your heart's desire with chocolate syrup and sprinkes. Make your kid's day.
