Now that I'm in the midst of taking down my holiday decor, I'm looking back on this and laughing. A little. You see, for a couple of years now, I've day dreamed of a gorgeous flocked tree. Delicately mounded drifts of snow. Mixed greenery peeking through. Ethereal and natural...
But these beauts come with a pretty fine price tag and, again this year, I resigned myself to the fact that it wasn't going to happen. That is, until I had the (what I thought to be) genious idea to go with a much more attainable white tree. And so I procured it, decorated it and absolutely, positively HATED it. It was so incredibly artificial. The tree too white and the ornaments too gold. Everything was off. It was like some sort of glowing alien beacon. UGH.
Happy Monday y'all. It's the last day of Christmas vacation around these parts. Boo hoo hoo.
